Some days ago, on my way out of a commercial bank, I heard a man talking to someone on the phone that “you work to make money, not by praying. If the bible says the Lord will bless the works of thy hands, that means you have to work, for God to bless it” He went on to mention some disciples that Jesus found while at their work and then He said “that’s my problem with Nigerian Christians….” He entered his car still on the call and drove off. I watched the car till it got out of sight; I was stunned and I have pondered on these statements myself. It’s not that I don’t know this, but it reminded me of what I already know and gingered me to work harder.
This also reminded me of The Parable of the Talents in the bible. God has given us all that we need to succeed here on earth (“according to his ability”- Mathew 25 vs 15) and these privileges must not be wasted. “According to his ability” simply indicates that we humans are unique and different and we are here on earth on a mission, to fulfill destiny. We must use our talents wisely; because he who is faithful with little, more shall be given. You really have to work hard to earn. I am not saying you shouldn’t pray but don’t be like that servant that was given one talent and did nothing with it. You have all it takes. Use your time judiciously and make the most of every opportunity that comes your way.
I just want to encourage you today to go out of your way to do things that will change your life forever, for good; there’s nothing that you set your mind to achieve that you can’t achieve. You can and we all are watching you, with a smiling face, knowing well that you wouldn’t disappoint.
Remain focus, just like the dart game. Do all you can to hit your target. Try as much as possible not to be distracted. Don’t doubt in your heart. Let the end result keep you going.
Don’t be weary or tired, for this life is a journey. Success is a journey. As you accomplish or tick your goal boxes, new goals will come alive and you will need to keep working to remain successful. Celebrate both your small and big wins; it renews your energy and motivates you to keep at what you do. To be successful requires extra efforts and it’s those little things that one does that makes one stand out.
Thrive to be the best. It may not come easy but I promise you, you will be celebrated. You think no one is watching? Oh! A lot of people are watching. Giving one’s best brings fulfilment, and it stretches you beyond your limit. If you aim for the sun, you may fall among the stars.
Love yourself. Nothing pays than a heart full of love and compassion. Come in terms with yourself, love who you are, understand your person (I recommend you read Why You Act the Way You Do by Tim Lahaye), forgive yourself and allow peace into your life. Whatever you want to attract to yourself starts with you being okay with whom you are. If there’s anything about you that you think you need to improve upon, kindly do so. No be war, be calm. Keep working to be a better version of yourself. As you improve on yourself, it radiates and helps you to love and be good to others. Loving yourself also helps you have a high self esteem.
Have big dreams. Big dreams keep your mind positively engaged because the mind will be busy figuring out how to make those dreams come alive. Allow your mind to explore without limitations. As you dream, write them down. Frequently ask yourself, of what significance is this to my life, the people around me and/or the world at large? This question helps to guide you on not wasting your time on fruitless journeys. The moment you can put an honest answer to it, take action.
Position yourself for greatness. This has to do with your circle of friends, what you are doing with your time and how self motivated you are towards achieving your dream. Spend quality time with those that will help sharpen your life for good. Try your best to be in the right place at the right time. Seek advice from people that are well experienced and knowledgeable in the area you are seeking to grow/develop. Get involved in healthy competitions that will stimulate your brain to solve real world’s problems. Read as much as you can, initiate healthy conversations
Patience is a virtue. There is a season and an appointed time for everything and everyone. Fruits come out in its season and so, your time will come, and you will shine. Don’t be too in a hurry. Don’t compare yourself with others; we all are on a different journey. Slow and steady wins the race. Do all that is required of you and be rest assured that your big day is on its way!
I am very happy to be part of your success journey, your path is blessed. Do have a beautiful week ahead.
